Tom Jackson is a former National Football League Player and one of the most recognized television analysts in all of sports.  Sports Speaker Jackson has an extremely likeable personality and extensive football knowledge, which has endeared him to football fanatics over the years.  He spent his college years playing as an undersized linebacker at the University of Louisville from 1970-1972.  Jackson was drafted into the NFL in 1973 in the 4th Round by the Denver Broncos and spent his entire 14-year NFL career in the mile-high city.  Jackson twice played in The Super Bowl with the Broncos, but lost on both occasions.  Tom Jackson was a 4x All Pro Selection and 3x Time Pro Selection at linebacker, and was a staple in the defense for the better part of two decades for the Denver Broncos.  Jackson was inducted into the Denver Broncos’ Ring Of Fame in 1992 as only the 14th player to ever earn that honor.

Following his retirement, Jackson signed on with ESPN in 1987 and joined Chris Berman on the studio set for ESPN’s football programming.  This was the start of one of the greatest tandems in sports programming history.  Berman and Jackson were featured on ESPN’s two signature NFL programs; NFL Sunday Countdown and NFL Primetime.  NFL Countdown has won 7 Sports Emmy Awards for Outstanding Studio Show—Weekly.  Jackson has become a fixture on the network and he is now the longest tenured NFL analyst at ESPN.  He is also a contributor on Monday Night Countdown, which is a precursor to Monday Night Football.

Tom Jackson is married to his wife Jennifer and they have two daughters.  He has been featured in ESPN commercials and promos including spots for GMC.
