With a name like Swin Cash, it’s clear this sports speaker was born for the bright lights of show time! Swin is currently cashing in jumpers for the New York Liberty of the WNBA following a midseason trade from her former team the Atlanta Dream. Swin has also received a large amount of new publicity after she agreed to be a part of the new sports show on CBS Sports Network called We Need to Talk hosted, directed and produced completely by women. Swin shares the couches with former WNBA great Lisa Leslie, decorated Olympian Dara Torres and others including several prominent female sportscasters such as Dana Jacobson, Andrea Kramer and Tracy Wolfson. Each show the panel provides commentary on major issues in sports and society from a different point of view than what is usually offered on male dominated programs.

Before becoming such a prominent figure in women’s sports, Swin was a stand-out star at the University of Connecticut under esteemed head coach Geno Auriemma. She won 2 National Championships in 2000 and 2002 before becoming the 2nd overall pick in the 2002 WNBA Draft by the Detroit Shock. In just her rookie season, Swin would help lead the Shock to their first ever WNBA Championship in 2003 and took home the gold medal as a part of the U.S. Women’s Olympic basketball team at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Over her incredible career Swin has a total of 3 NBA Championships under her belt and won another gold medal with the USWNT at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Since becoming a full-blown WNBA star, Swin has begun hosting her own signature basketball camps and clinics under her own company called Swin Cash Enterprise. She has also worked with ESPN as a basketball analyst and provided in-game commentary for several of the USWNT games during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
