It’s hard to imagine the Winter X-Games and the Winter Olympics without American skate and snowboarder Shaun White. Shaun has single-handedly brought immense popularity and support to the world of action sports on his way to 2 Olympic gold medals and 23 X-Games medals, 15 of those medals being gold. His medal count in the X-Games is higher than any competitor ever and includes wins in both the summer and winter events. Shaun is the first person ever to compete in both the summer and winter X-Games in 2 different sports and is also the only boarder ever to record a perfect 100 score in a super pipe event.

Action Sports Speaker Shaun was mentored by pro skateboarder Tony Hawk at a young age and began skateboarding professionally at age 17. He would compete in both skateboarding and snowboarding events until he decided to just focus on the snowboard and quit competing in the Summer X-Games in 2011. His first taste of Olympic gold came in 2006 at the half pipe event in Turin, Italy, and he repeated his performance at the following 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. His career accolades, too numerous to count, sum up to make Shaun one of the most successful athletes ever in his respective sports.

Over his illustrious career, Shaun has become a hot commodity in the world of endorsements and sponsorships. He has done major advertisement campaigns for the likes of Oakley, Target, and Burton Snowboards. He has made TV appearances on all the late night programs including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Late Show with David Letterman. Shaun has also been given cameo appearances in major films such as the 2011 hit Friends with Benefits featuring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. Shaun is well-known for his flowing locks of red hair but in 2012 he decided to grow it out and cut for the Locks of Love Charity.
