Sports Speaker Shannon Miller is not only the most decorated gymnast in American history, but additionally she is a mother, author, health advocate, and radio and television personality. The leader of the women’s 1996 Olympic Team, which was later nicknamed the Magnificent Seven, holds 59 international and 49 national medals, over half of which are gold. It is no wonder that Shannon has been inducted into eight Halls of Fame, and is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame twice.

Though her gymnastics career is over, Shannon remains a proponent of healthy living. She established her own health and lifestyle company, Shannon Miller Lifestyle: Health and Fitness for Women, which brings content to women and children through on multiple platforms, including a website (www.shannonmillerlifestyle.com), fitness DVD’s, and cookbooks. She is also the author of Winning Everyday: Gold Medal Advice for Healthy Living and has been featured in numerous national publications such as Sports Illustrated, Women’s Day, Fitness, Glamour, and Vogue. As the spokesperson for BabyPlus and StemCyte while also running the Shannon Miller Foundation, Shannon proves that she is dedicated to promoting fitness and well-being for young children as well. Her foundation is dedicated to helping kids stay physically active and providing nutritional education.

Miller knows the importance of taking care of oneself firsthand—she is survivor of Germ Cell Tumor, a form of ovarian cancer, and successfully underwent surgery and chemotherapy. In 2013, she served as the Honorary Chairperson for the National Women’s Survivors Convention and the Honorary Chair of the Turn the Towns Teal Campaign. After her own fight with cancer, Shannon hosts her own television show that grants wishes to teenagers and children who are battling terminal illnesses called “The Wish List with Shannon Miller” on the Health & Wellness Channel. In addition to television, Shannon is experienced across multiple media platforms as a host of her own radio show and a past commentator for Yahoo! Sports, MSNBC, and NBC HD; she Shannon’s list of accolades is truly endless, and she is an inspiration and role model to all.
