Television host, broadcaster, cancer survivor, author, and Sports Speaker Robin Roberts began her news broadcasting career over thirty years ago and hasn’t looked back since. As one of the primary anchors on ABC’s National morning show, Good Morning America (GMA), Roberts joins co-anchors George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach, Ginger Lee and Michael Strahan in a live broadcast each weekday from New York City’s Times Square district. Since Robin joined GMA in 2005, the morning television show has won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Morning Program. She has interviewed countless iconic figures including basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Janet Jackson, President Barack Obama, and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Prior to her work with ABC, Robin began her career as a sports anchor and reporter for local news stations before finally making it to the big leagues in the early nineties when she got a job as a sports broadcaster for ESPN. Roberts worked with ESPN as a sportscaster for fifteen years, hosting SportsCenter and NFL PrimeTime before she made the transition to ABC. In 2013 she was awarded ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY’s following her battles to overcome breast cancer and myelodysplastic syndrome for which she underwent a bone marrow transplant.

Robin Roberts has also written several bestselling books including From the Heart: Seven Rules to Live By which she released in 2007 followed by updated version of the book which she released in 2008 to include a chapter about her breast cancer battle called From the Heart: Eight Rules to Live By. In 2012, Roberts released her third book which she wrote with her mother, Lucimarian Roberts, entitled My Story, My Song – Mother-Daughter Reflections on Life and Faith. My Story, My Song received rave reviews from poet and bestselling author Dr. Maya Angelou, Oprah Magazine’s editor-at-large Gayle King, and ABC World News Tonight anchor Diane Sawyer.
