Peyton Manning is an elite NFL quarterback for the Denver Broncos. He is famous for winning the NFL MVP a record four times and for leading the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl Championship. Manning also holds numerous records for the Colts franchise.

During Manning’s rookie season, he dispelled doubts about his arm strength by setting five different NFL rookie records, including most touchdown passes in a season, and being named to the NFL All-Rookie First Team. Manning and the Colts started utilizing their future renowned no-huddle offense in 2001. Manning went on to win his first MVP and lead the Colts to the AFC Title game in 2003, in which he was also named first-team All-Pro. In 2006, Manning led the Colts to a Super Bowl championship and was voted Super Bowl MVP. He also was awarded the ESPY for Best Championship Performance for his leadership in the Super Bowl victory. In 2009, Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated named Manning the NFL player of the decade for the 2000s. By the end of his career with the Colts, Manning had become the all-time leader in touchdown passes and passing yards for the franchise. In the opening game of the 2013 season with the Denver Broncos, Manning became one of only six players in NFL history to pass for seven touchdowns in a single game.

Manning has his own charity named the Peyback Foundation, whose mission is to help disadvantaged kids in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Indiana. For his commendable efforts in this organization, Manning received the Samuel S. Beard Award for Greatest Public Service by an Individual 35 Years or Under. In 2007, St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis renamed its hospital to “Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent” in honor of Manning’s contributions to their organization.
