Sports Keynote Speaker Mike Tirico has handled a multitude of different assignments while broadcasting for ESPN, ESPN Radio, and ABC Sports since his first day as a SportsCenter anchor in 1991. His ability to provide accurate, engaging commentary across multiple sports including football, basketball, golf and tennis has made him one of the most versatile sports journalists in the world today. He worked with ESPN partner Bob Ley as lead anchors during the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup. In 2015, Mike was tapped as lead anchor for ESPN’s coverage of the the Wimbledon tennis championships.

Sports Keynote Speaker Mike Tirico is well recognized as the lead play-by-play commentator on ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast. He works alongside Jon Gruden and Lisa Salters. Mike has also worked as the lead commentator for PGA Tour events broadcasted on ABC.

His assignments at ESPN have taken him to the far corners of college and professional sports. In his early days, Sports Keynote Speaker Mike Tirico was covering a lot of college football and basketball before taking over ESPN’s NBA coverage. He has more than covered his fair share of high-profile events since coming onto the network including ESPN’s Masters golf tournament coverage, anchoring SportsCenter from the 2009 Final Four, and co-hosting Super Bowl XL pre and post game shows.

Mike received national acclaim for the way he eloquently depicted the raw emotion to the audience when the New Orleans Saints returned to the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina. He has been nominated for a Sports Emmy in the Outstanding Personality- Play-by-Play category, received an award in 2011 as Harrah’s Sports Broadcaster of the Year Award, and was named the 2010 Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA).
