Michael Strahan is a media personality and former record-breaking defensive end with the New York Giants. Strahan set a record for the most sacks in a single season in 2001, and he won a Super Bowl in 2007. He is currently a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, and he additionally serves as co-host on the television morning talk show Live! with Kelly and Michael.

After joining the NFL, Strahan had a breakthrough year in 1997, being voted into his first Pro Bowl and also being awarded the honor of First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. In 1998, Strahan racked up 15 sacks and was voted into his second Pro-Bowl and All-Pro team.  Strahan was named the 2001 NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2001, and he also was honored as the NFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2001 and 2004. In the final game of the 2001 season, Strahan sacked Brett Favre to break the single-season NFL record for most sacks. After he retired, Strahan had achieved a Super Bowl Title, 854 career tackles, 141.5 career sacks, and had been named to the Pro Bowl roster seven times.

After his football career, Sports Speaker Michael Strahan has made frequent appearances on television. In addition to being a co-host of Live! with Regis and Kelly and an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, Strahan has appeared in a plethora of commercials for various companies such as Pizza Hut, Right Guard, Snickers, and Subway. He also co-starred in the sitcom Brothers for Fox, hosted the home improvement program Backyard Stadiums, and has appeared in various shows such as Chuck, America: The Story of Us, Mad Money, and The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

Strahan is very active in philanthropy. He has allowed the charitable organizations Junior League of Montclair-Newark to use his home for tours, parties, and other fundraising endeavors. In 2008, Strahan and a Giants team designed their own exclusive pair of sneakers with Nike and donated all proceeds to Nike’s Let Me Play global campaign. Strahan has also appeared in a PSA for PETA and a commercial supporting legalized same-sex marriage in New York.
