Biography:

Sports Speaker Lesley Visser is a celebrated sportscaster and pioneer for women in sports journalism. In the last 4 decades, Lesley has paved the way for women in a largely male-dominated industry. Currently she works as a reporter for CBS Sports and writes features for CBSSports.com. She is also a co-host on the all-female sports talk show, We Need to Talk. The American Sportscaster Association has dubbed Sports Keynote Speaker Lesley Visser as the #1 Female Sportscaster of all time. Aside from her work on-air, Lesley is a coveted keynote speaker for corporate conferences and leadership summits. In 2015, Lesley was a featured keynote speaker at the Doha Goals Forum in Los Angeles discussing her role as one of sport’s most important female pioneers.

Throughout her career, Sports Keynote Speaker Lesley Visser has worked for CBS, ABC and ESPN. Lesley is the only sportscaster, male or female, to ever cover the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Triple Crown, Olympic Games, tennis U.S. Open, the Final Four and the World Figure Skating Championship. Lesley still remains the only woman to have ever handled the Super Bowl Trophy presentation. After beginning her TV career with CBS Sports, Lesley made the move from CBS to ABC and ESPN, becoming the first female sideline reporter at the Super Bowl during Super Bowl XXIV in 1995. Three years later, she became the first woman to cover Monday Night Football.

During her tenure with ESPN, Sports Keynote Speaker Lesley Visser made significant contributions to their team of sportscasters. She covered the Super Bowl, college basketball, figure skating, and the Triple Crown while also regularly appearing on SportsCenter, NFL GameDay, and Monday Night Countdown. Making the move back to CBS Sports in 2000, Sports Speaker Lesley Visser became the first female color analyst for an NFL broadcast. A recipient of the 2006 Pete Rozelle Award and the Emily Couric Leadership Award, Lesley has covered 34 Final Fours, 12 NBA Finals, 7 World Series, and an incredible 28 Super Bowls.

Sports Keynote Speaker Lesley Visser is available for a variety of personal appearances including moderated Q&A sessions and keynote speaking engagements.
