Boxing star Laila Ali is not only a familiar world famous champion boxer and daughter of the legendary Muhammad Ali, but she also expanded her career to become a health and fitness connoisseur and TV star. She graduated from Santi Monica College in California with a business degree. Sports Speaker Laila would then became a manicurist working in a nail salon and owned her own shop before beginning her boxing career in 2002.

Before retiring from professional boxing in February of 2007, Sports Speaker Laila amassed a perfect 24-0 record with 21 knockouts and 3 decisions. The bloodlines sure ran true after deciding to put her health and beauty career aside to follow in her legendary father’s footsteps. She won the Super Middleweight Championship for the  International Boxing Association in 2002 and was also named Super Middleweight Champion by the International Women’s Boxing Federation just three years later in 2005. After her boxing career ended she began to dabble in other forms of entertainment like television. She has been given minor acting roles in shows like George Lopez as well as Kevin Hart’s comedic reality show Real Husbands of Hollywood.

Like other superstars, Laila did not let her retirement keep her from doing what she loved. She has always enjoyed cooking and has a few different recipes posted on her personal website. She loves to make meals that promote a healthy lifestyle. She even had a small stint on the nationally viewed television show “The Biggest Loser” where she came in as an outside physical trainer for the participants. Laila is the founder of the Laila Ali Lifestyle Brand that sells hair and skin care products and she has donated many of the profits to environmental groups working to make the world a better place for the future. The mission of her lifestyle brand is to find products that are non-toxic to humans and the environment alike. Laila makes sure to give back to the community in other ways as well like volunteer with organizations including Feeding America and the Women’s Sports Foundation among many others.
