Biography:

Motivational Speaker Klay Thompson is a sharp shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. Klay and his good friend and teammate Stephen Curry have garnered the nickname the “Splash Brothers” for their uncanny ability to knock down jump shots with ease. He is the son of former NBA phenom Mychal Thompson who was the first overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft. In 2015, Klay signed on as an official brand ambassador for the popular new sports drink BODYARMOR SuperDrink.

Klay was a heralded scorer coming out of high school and attended college on a basketball scholarship at Washington State University. He torched the Pac-10 Conference for 3 seasons with the Cougars averaging 17.9 points per game and shooting just under 40% from 3-point land. He led the Pac-10 in scoring his junior season with the team. By the end of his junior season it became apparent that his game was ready for the next level.

Motivational Speaker Klay Thompson was drafted 11th overall by the Warriors in the 2011 NBA Draft. His playing time increased from around 17 minutes a game to over 30 minutes a game by the end of his rookie season. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team with the likes of Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard. Since then Klay has worked his way into the starting lineup thanks to his superior shooting abilities and high basketball IQ. During a game against the Sacramento Kings in 2015, Klay scored a career high 52 points. The big night was highlighted by a 37-point outburst in the third quarter, the most points ever scored by an NBA player in a single quarter. That season he earned his first All-Star honors as a reserve for the Western Conference squad.

Motivational Speaker Klay Thompson has worked hard to reach his goals and has the potential to go down as one of the greatest 3-point shooters in NBA history.
