With four Olympic medals under her belt, Sports Speaker Julia Mancuso holds the most Olympic medals of any female alpine skier. Known to fans and teammates as Super Jules, the three-time Olympian won her first gold medal at the 2006 Olympics in giant slalom, followed by two silvers in 2010 in Canada and a bronze in the 2014 Sochi Games. Julia joins an exclusive club of Winter Olympians who have medaled at three consecutive Olympics; few besides Apolo Ohno and Bonnie Blair have accomplished this feat. Since making her World Cup debut at the age of fifteen, Julia has battled numerous injuries but still manages to consistently land herself on top of the podium in international competitions, holding claim to five World Cup wins and four World Championship medals. The Olympian’s work ethic, belief in herself, and contagious zeal for skiing and life are what earned Julia her well-deserved success.

Julia is known for her personality as well as her ability to ski. More of a free spirit than anything else, Julia is one of the most affable and personable professional athletes out there. You might have seen the bubbly skier racing down the slopes with a tiara over her helmet, which she wore at the 2010 Olympic medal ceremony. This served as inspiration for her lingerie line, which she named Kiss My Tiara in 2010.

Julia’s sponsors range from Visa and Sprint to Nike and Zico Coconut Water. She also appeared in commercials and advertisements for Lange ski boots, GoPro, 24 Hour Fitness, and Visa. The fitness guru also owns a gym in Lake Tahoe called Performance JM. A philanthropist as well, Julia always makes time to get involved with charities such as the High Fives Foundation and Right to Play; Right to Play has over 300 athlete ambassadors that include the likes of Allyson Felix, Heather O’Reilly, and Gabby Douglas. When she’s not in her snow gear, the golden girl of winter sports enjoys paddleboarding, surfing, and yoga in Hawaii.
