Jordan Spieth is one of the brightest young stars today on the PGA Tour.  At the ripe age of 20, Spieth has already become a major player on the international golf stage, and he is quickly becoming a fan favorite on the tour.  Spieth began his professional career in 2013 and immediately asserted himself as one of the premier golfers on the PGA Tour by earning the 2013 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award.  Other former winners of the award include Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, and Keegan Bradley.

Jordan’s first win on the PGA Tour came during his Rookie campaign when he captured victory at the 2013 John Deere Classic.  He did so by outlasting Zach Johnson and David Hearn in the 5th Hole of a sudden death playoff becoming the youngest winner of a PGA Tour Event in 83 years.  Sports Speaker Jordan finished the 2013 PGA Tour Season at 10th on the money list and with a World Golf Ranking of 22nd.  The 2014 Masters became Jordan’s grand entrance to the national stage as he held the 54 hole lead at the legendary tournament.  He would eventually finish 2nd to Bubba Watson.  Spieth has currently risen to 9th in the World Golf Rankings, and he has already earned over $7 Million on the PGA Tour during his short career.  Spieth also became the first golfer to be endorsed head-to-toe by Under Armour, and he also holds a sponsorship contract with Rolex.

Jordan Spieth has also utilized his celebrity to give back to the community, which is rare for a player at such a young age.  He started the Jordan Spieth Charitable Trust, which is focused on three primary initiatives; special needs, military families and junior golf. The inspiration for the charity came from Spieth’s younger sister Ellie who has autism.
