Resilience is what Los Angeles Kings goalie, Olympian, and Sports Speaker Jonathan Quick has come to be known for early in his hockey career. It is likely that Jonathan will be the starting goalie on the United States hockey team, for the 2014 winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. In 2012 Jonathan Quick led the Kings to a Stanley Cup victory and was named the playoff MVP. He was also given the ESPY Award for Best NHL Player that championship year.

Sports Speaker Jonathan Quick’s Stanley Cup Final victory was technically one of many championships he has won in his fruitful career as he capture two high school New England Prep Championships and won an NCAA Championship with the University Of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007 before turning pro. Jonathan got his first taste of Olympic hockey at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. He was the third string goalie and won a silver medal with the team after they came up short in the gold medal game to Canada, 3-2. After the season he signed a 10 year deal with the Los Angeles Kings franchise, making him a King until 2013.

Along with brother-in-law and fellow National Hockey League player Matt Moulson, Jonathan Quick started the 326 Foundation. The name originates from a combination of Jonathan’s jersey number 32 and Matt’s number 26. The foundation gives money to both the Los Angeles Kings charity and Matt’s team the New York Islanders team charities. Jonathan donates $500 when he gets a win, and Matt donates the same when he scores a goal.
