John Force is an NHRA drag racer, eighteen-time champion car owner and sixteen-time Funny Car champion driver. John has participated in more final rounds, won more races and rounds and won more NHRA championships in the history of drag racing. He has also given more motivational speeches, sold more souvenirs and delivered more memorable one-liners than anyone within the sport.

For the past decade, Sports Speaker John has been the face and spokesperson of drag racing.

John built his career on determination and sheer will. With his unstoppable drive, confidence and guts, he overcame lousy equipment and little backing. Without the support of a major sponsorship, John appeared and qualified for ten events in 1984. After gaining the support of Castrol Motor Oil in 1985 his career took off.

John earned his first career victory and won the Funny Car bonus event for the first time in 1987. A few years after, he won his first NHRA championship by forty-three points. Since then, he has won a tour event in twenty-five of the last twenty-six years and has been a top ten finisher for twenty-nine consecutive seasons.

John is one of the most dominant drag racers with over 130 career victories to date. His success led him into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega. He is also a member of the Motor Sports Hall of Fame of America and was recognized as the very first Driver of the Year for all of American motor racing.

There is more to John’s popularity than just his outstanding career record. His honesty and upbeat personality have commended him to the fans and made him a favorite with FOX’s and Jay Leno’s The Best Damn Sports Show. It also led him to be named the best interview in the history of sports today.
