Biography:

NFL Motivational Speaker Jeff Garcia is a former pro football player who played in the NFL and the Canadian Football League. A savvy quarterback, Jeff helped lead a number of different teams to the playoffs and provided veteran leadership to the younger guys on his respective teams. Jeff is still involved with the game as a quarterbacks in the Canadian Football League and is entertaining offers to join the coaching squad of an NFL team. Since retiring from playing the game, Jeff has also become an active keynote speaker. Jeff was the featured keynote speaker at the Humboldt State 30th Annual Celebrity Dinner and Sports Auction in 2015.

Jeff played for a total of 17 seasons with many different teams beginning his professional career in the CFL. After starting for 3 years at San Jose State University, Jeff got his first professional football gig in 1994 with the Calgary Stampeders. When starting quarterback Doug Flutie went down with an injury, Jeff came in and threw for 546 passing yards and 6 touchdowns in just his second start. In 1997, Jeff won the Jeff Nicklin Memorial Trophy as the MVP of the CFL Western Division. The following year he led the Stampeders to a CFL Championship title. NFL coaches were watching and Jeff signed on as Steve Young’s backup with the San Francisco 49ers in 1999. A year later Young retired and Jeff took over starting duties.

During the 2002-2003 playoffs, Jeff led the 49ers to the second largest come from behind victory in playoff history in which they trailed by 24 with three minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Jeff was invited to the Prow Bowl four different times in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007 and is one of only 13 NFL quarterbacks to throw a 99 yard touchdown pass. He joined greats such as Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Dan Marino, as one of only 10 quarterbacks in NFL history to have back to back 30 passing touchdown seasons. Jeff eventually took snaps for 5 different teams in his NFL career including the Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders.

Jeff has been blessed with a lucrative career in professional football and he dedicates a portion of his time to his charity, the Garcia Pass It On Foundation. The foundation was built by Jeff and his wife Carmella to help financially and emotionally support children and families in need. In 2013, Jeff teamed up with Velocity Sports Performance to launch the TEST West Football Academy to mentor young players.
