Biography:

Sports Speaker Adrian committed to playing at the University of Oklahoma from 2004-2006. During his freshman season, he broke several NCAA records. He led the nation with 339 carries and rushed a total of 1,925 yards. Adrian rushed for more than 100-yards in the first nine games of the season alone setting the record for the most 100-yard games completed by a freshman. He was also the first Oklahoma freshman to be recognized as a First-Team Associated Press All-American. Adrian finished his college career as the Sooners’ third all-time leading rusher.

Adrian was the seventh overall pick in the NFL draft and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007. The first three regular season games, he completed 431 yards from scrimmage, breaking the team record. Because of his performance, he received the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for September and October. He topped it off with a franchise record of 224 rushing yards on 20 carries. He also set a rookie record with 361 all-purpose yards within a single game. Not even a month later, Adrian broke his franchise record and the NFL single game rushing yard record when he rushed 296 yards on 3 carries and three touchdowns against the San Diego Chargers.  In honor of this victory, the jersey he wore that day was sent to the Professional Football Hall of Fame.

Most recently, Adrian achieved the top spot on the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2013. He also joined the club for the third fastest player to reach over 10,000 rushing yards in the history of the NFL. Adrian is a team player on and off the field. He was one of the recipients of the NFL Players Gala JP Awards, which is given to players that have an active role in charity work. He was also selected to receive the Emerging Leader Award for his volunteer work with the Special Olympics. In 2008, he established the All Day Foundation to raise awareness and funds for programs inspiring hope and building a better future for children at risk.
