Retired Major League Baseball star and sports motivational speaker for hire Aaron Boone is a former infielder who now works as a featured game analyst for baseball coverage on the ESPN family of networks. Aaron played for 6 teams during his professional career most notably for the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees. Perhaps his most memorable moment on the diamond came in 2003 when he blasted a walk-off home run in the 11th inning of Game 7 of the ALCS against the Red Sox to send the Yankees to the World Series.

Aaron grew up in one of the most prominent families in baseball, following in the footsteps of a long line of Boone’s who had previously played in the MLB. He broke into the major leagues in 1997 with the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed a successful career with the team. He made MLB history when the Reds became the first team ever to start two sets of brothers in the infield with Barry and Stephen Larkin and Aaron and his brother Bret. Aaron was traded to the New York Yankees in 2003. Although only with the Bronx Bombers for 1 season, his 2003 ALCS home run was recently voted the 9th greatest home run in MLB history by ESPN’s Baseball Tonight.

Aaron finished his career in 2009 with the Houston Astros after stints with the Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals. When he is not commentating games for ESPN or on set for Baseball Tonight, Aaron travels the country as a sports motivational speaker appearing at corporate functions and special events.
