Biography:

Shaquille O’Neal, more commonly known as Shaq, can now be seen analyzing the night’s top NBA basketball games on TNT alongside Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley. Yet before this he spent a number of years dominating the paint, solidifying his spot as arguably the greatest center of all-time. With his big frame and humorous attitude, Shaq is known as being a beast in the paint, but a comedian everywhere.

Sports speaker Shaquille O’Neal was able to use his size and strength to his advantage throughout his entire basketball career. At LSU Shaq was a two time All-American, two time SEC player of the year, and NCAA Men’s basketball player of the year. He was drafted with the first pick in the 1992 NBA draft by the then struggling Orlando Magic. That same year he was named Rookie of the Year and became the first rookie since Michael Jordan to be selected for the All-Star game. The Diesel continued to increase his production in the league especially during his time with the Lakers where Shaq, along with Kobe Bryant, and Derek Fisher won three championships in a row. That Lakers teams is considered to be one of the great in franchise history. Playing under Coach Phil Jackson let Shaq play his game while still catering to the scorers of the team. Since his departure from the LA Lakers The Big Aristotle has had brief stints with the Heat where he won his fourth championship playing beside shining superstar Dwayne Wade, the Suns, Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics where he would end his amazing career. O’Neal is a four time NBA champion, former NBA MVP, and an Olympic gold medalist.

It is easy to see that Shaq loves to have fun. It is often fans see him laughing on television whether it is during a game on TNT, or during a commercial. A fan favorite happens to be a segment Shaq calls ‘Shaqtin’ a Fool’ where he and the TNT analyst team tease at that day’s tomfoolery.   Shaq’s humor and his hilarious on-air personality has led him to sign endorsement deals with Icy Hot, Reebok, Buick, and Zales among others. Under the umbrella of Shaq’s talents include acting where Shaq has played roles in Grown-ups 2 and the TNT drama series Southerland. Shaq has remained heavily involved with his community throughout his professional career and has worked with the Boys & Girls Club of America, Be the Match and the Make a Wish Foundation.
