Biography:

NBA Motivational Speaker Grant Hill was a terror for opposing defenses as a Duke Blue Devil. His All-Star career in the NBA proved he could take his game to the next level and perform on basketball’s biggest stages. Following his retirement in 2013, he couldn’t stay away from the action. He joined the team at NBA TV as a reporter and conducted player interviews for the network. Grant is now working as a basketball analyst for Turner Sports. Grant and fellow analysts Jim Nantz and Bill Raftery were chosen as the official game analysts for the 2015 NCAA Men’s Final Four and National Championship games by Turner Sports and CBS Sports. From his on-court achievements to his large-scale endorsements and social advocacy, Grant Hill is an incredible ambassador for positive change and the game of basketball.

Grant Hill has done it the right way. He chose to attend Duke University and played under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski in the early 90’s. Grant was a part of a talented Duke squad that including Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley. The team won back-to-back championships in 1991 and 1992. In the 1992 Championship game, Grant lobbed the in-bound pass to Laettner at the free throw line for a game winning shot that has gone down in NCAA history as one of the greatest games/shots of all time. He was a star and the Detroit Pistons wasted no time drafting him with the 3rd pick in the 1994 NBA Draft. That year he was named the NBA Co-Rookie of the Year with Jason Kidd. He was the first rookie ever to lead the league in All-Star votes. Over the course of his career he would be named to the All-Star team 7 times.

His play earned him endorsement deals from industry leading companies throughout his career. He was a centerpiece for Sprite’s marketing efforts during the 90’s. He appeared in countless TV and print ad campaigns with the soft drink. He also entertained endorsement deals with McDonald’s, Nike, Fila, and TAG Heuer. Beginning in 2014, NBA Motivational Speaker Grant and his wife Tamia have appeared in TV commercials for AT&T. Grant was and is an incredible ambassador for the game. He won the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2005, 2008 and 2010.

NBA Motivational Speaker Grant Hill was also involved with an important anti-bullying PSA with the NBA in 2011 aimed at eliminating the use of anti-gay slurs in society.
